Aims & Scope

Acta Chemica Malaysia is an international, peer-reviewed journal dedicated to advancing research at the intersection of green chemistry and environmental analysis. The journal provides a platform for innovative studies that develop and apply analytical methods, tools, and technologies designed to minimize environmental impact, enhance sustainability, and ensure human and ecological health.

The journal welcomes contributions that emphasize the principles of green chemistry in the design and optimization of analytical approaches, including but not limited to:

  • Development of sustainable, energy-efficient, and low-waste analytical methods.
  • Use of renewable, biodegradable, or less hazardous materials in chemical analysis.
  • Miniaturization, automation, and integration of analytical systems for reduced resource consumption.
  • Advances in green solvents, reagents, and sample preparation techniques.
  • Analytical monitoring of pollutants, emerging contaminants, and environmental health indicators.
  • Life cycle assessment and evaluation of analytical technologies from a sustainability perspective.
  • Interdisciplinary studies linking analytical chemistry to policy, regulation, and sustainable development goals (SDGs).

The scope of the journal spans fundamental research, applied studies, methodological innovations, critical reviews, and case studies that highlight the role of analytical chemistry in achieving cleaner production, environmental protection, and sustainable industrial and societal practices.
